About Us
Our stories are aimed at children and promote diversity, emotional intelligence and cultural understanding through the eyes of young protagonists. The books will take readers on exciting and educational journeys as the characters navigate their day to day life, explore different parts of the world and learn about different cultures. The ayOdo Books original series written by Amona Brefo follows the adventures of Sienna and Adam, two biracial and bilingual children with a multicultural background. Born and raised in London, England, and with their family hailing from Ghana, Austria, and Nigeria, their life is a cocktail of modern influences and traditional values.
Amona Brefo
is a first-time children's book author of Austrian/Nigerian heritage. For the past decade, she has worked in marketing, events,
performing arts as a dancer and singer, and also as a fitness professional. Amona's love for dance, yoga, and fitness ultimately led her to teaching families and children, which has become not only a passion but a calling. Her enthusiasm for diverse bookshelves and children's literature inspired her to write her own books, hoping to educate and entertain children worldwide. Today, Amona lives between London and Accra with her husband and two children, continuing her pursuit of storytelling, teaching and working in the creative space.
